If you want to enjoy the World of Internet radio on your Pocket PC you'd struggle to find a better solution than SPB Radio.
The application allows you to access more than 1,500 stations and stream them to your PDA. SPB Radio is very easy to use thanks to a clear, touch-friendly interface. You can perform a search for stations then add them to the main screen for quick, one-tap access. You can also browse popular stations by category, or access a specific channel by entering the URL.
The selection of stations on offer in SPB Radio is very diverse, covering all types of music as well as talk stations. You can even browse stations by country and region, though you'll find that the majority of them are in English.
SPB Radio runs in the background so you're able to listen to the radio while you're doing other things on your Pocket PC, or while it's idle. It would've been nice to have a Today screen add-on though, to give some controls over things like channel selection and playback without having to open the program every time.
Of course, streaming radio from the Internet can be a costly affair unless you have a flat-rate data plan or a WiFi connection. Bear this in mind if you pay for your data 'as you go'.
All in all, SPB Radio makes for a comfortable and reliable way to enjoy a broad selection of radio stations on your Pocket PC.
